Have you ever gotten in trouble for something you didn’t know was against the rules? (1 Viewer)

So I went to this show and they were like if you’re gonna take photos turn off flash. Okay noted. Then I have this lady, during the second half of the show, tap me on the shoulder and was like “hey you can’t record”. I took maybe about a 30 second video of a specific trick, to which was never said that it wasn’t allowed until then. Like if you don’t want people to record say that at the beginning ​

When I first moved to Ohio from NC in seventh grade (the winter of '98-'99), there was a huge blizzard, making us instantly regret moving from the nice, warm south (but that's for another thread). Anyway, during the time I was off from starting at my new school, I would spend my alone time prank calling people. Well, one day, I got an angry callback from this lady in Tennessee and then confronted my mom about it. She said that, apparently, prank calling is illegal. Like... I thought it was just a fun pastime, not a federal offense! I guess I'm just lucky Ms. Tennessee Rando didn't call the cops on me.

and btw I agree with @Sanumi - that lady sounds like the definition of a Karen! She should've kept her nose out of your business, even if it was against the rules.

But like why not say something at beginning of the show if it was against the rules? I have no problem following the rules, just please say something before I do the act
