i cant say much about the other two, but about the homophobia: lee jung jae outed a friend of his after the latter had died by suicid. in an interview he said that he told his friend that in order to alleviate his depression, he should "stop being gay"

Yes. I live in a city with what is considered the best independent bookstore in the country, quite a few of my favorite musicians do before/after concert meet & greets, and I've attended every local comic con for years.
