I started the series last week, and it's got me totally hooked. I'm halfway through book 2 now.

If you're unfamiliar with it, it's a litRPG book, probably the most famous example in the genre, to the point that I put off trying it because it started to feel like one of those things where the fans are obsessed beyond what the hype could possibly support.

That's fair. I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately, but this is the book series that's really got me obsessed again!
