In video games, I thought Final Fantasy IX held up really well, but Final Fantasy VIII was much less fun than I remembered with a much more nonsensical story.

And also a video game, the Story of Seasons game, A Wonderful Life, was not as much fun as kid me remembered it being. Farming games have so much content these days, these thin games from the past don't really compare.

I reread The Hunger Games trilogy last year, and book one held up really well still, but book three was much less tolerable than I remembered. (Gale was so mean to Katniss! The whole book! Why did she like this boy?)

I was heartbroken that my camcorder sensor rusted. it cost 300 bucks to fix it, but IM SENDING IT IN TO GET FIXED ANYWAY! (bye bye money)

That sounds amazing! It's crazy how food can transport so many memories.

I have nostalgic triggers easily. A scent can trigger it too already, but mostly I'd say music, movies, and video games trigger me the most. With music I get kind of emotional knowing those youth years are gone and not coming back ever (I am a real sucker for 90s and early 00s), and video game wise depending what season I play them I still feel nostalgic. I would yearly during summer break play Final Fantasy X from start to finish so if I play it during summers I still feel that same way only difference is I know what happens next so that magic is gone

Movies do still give me nostalgia too which is why I keep watching them often.

Games: I still play some classic FPS games like DOOM (released in 1993) on my modern PC. Aside from the graphics, that genre didn't really evolve, so the fun is still there. There are even new Indie games that look and feel pretty much like those shooters from the 90s.

Music: I listen to modern Hard Rock bands that sound like they came directly from the 80s - but with way better sound and mixing. The best of both worlds.

Books: I recently bought a book about Ghosts that I already loved when I was a child. The book I had back then got lost during a move.

Food: When I moved out of my parent's home, I took some of my mother's recipes with me. I still cook some of them.

Movies: I still watch horror movies from the 80s and 90s.
