I recently watched something (fictional) where a character cut open a mysterious bug like thing to find out what it is, since they had never seen it before. He dropped it in the petri dish and then went straight to slicing. No safety glasses or anything. And I’m just like come on dude, what if unknown organism goo comes flying out and lands in your eye? Or mouth? Ofc there’s plot armor in shows but surely they could have made him wear something? I want everyone here to promise that if you face a situation where you need to dissect a small unknown creature, take at least some steps to make sure you don’t ingest any potentially poisonous thing, or get an eyeful of alien goop.
