Seen a ranking list where the top place was listed as the highest number and smallest place was listed as the lowest number? For example, a list ranking the great lakes in the US by size where the smallest lake is ranked as #1 and the largest is ranked #5.

Yes. I found an article where they did exactly that. Lake Superior was ranked as #5 and Lake Ontario was listed as #1. And no the ranking didn't say anything like "ranking of the smallest great lakes" or anything of the sort. Seems odd to me.

I read Lake Superior at 5 and was like I guessed pretty quickly that it was a case of ranking it opposite because the sizes are distinctly different (at least for Lake Superior vs Lake Ontario, Lake Superior is over 4x bigger), but remained confused about why they ranked them backwards. The world may never know

Well...it's the US, besides the fahrenheit , Inches and pounds, im not surprised by anything.

um, well idk what you mean, but on the website for American Top 40 (that countdown show Casey Kasem used to host but now it's Ryan Seacrest), they put #1 at the top. idk if we're on the same page here, but that was my first thought.

I don't remember any list ranking like that. Sounds wrong to me.
