It’s a pretty classic headline, showing how frivolous lawsuits can be. Only problem is, that’s not what happened. In 2015, after fixing something on his car, a black PhD student was accused of stealing a car. When he was pulled over, he told the police that it was his car, but he was tackled to the ground. The police soon learned that he did in fact own the car. However, the student was still arrested for “not following police orders”. The student sued the police department after. News headlines eventually took this lawsuit and modified the details, and the story became known as the story where someone silly decides to sue for stealing his own car.

THIS RACISM BY COPS NEEDS TO STOP! and this case was actually pretty mild compared to cases where the police shot and killed innocent AA people, like Breonna Taylor and that kid from Minnesota.He should cosider himself lucky!
