@Naru and I are pretty much the only 5SOS fans on here lol so I thought it would be a great opportunity for y'all to get to know them a little better!

Bio:
5 Seconds of Summer, often shortened to 5SOS or 5Sauce, is a pop-rock band hailing from Sydney, Australia. They formed in December 2011 and consist of four members: Luke Hemmings on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Ashton Irwin on drums, Michael Clifford on lead guitar, and Calum Hood on bass guitar and keys. Even though they have many fans from all over the world, they’re still known as “the biggest band nobody’s ever heard of”.

They gained international recognition in late 2012 when they opened for One Direction’s Take Me Home tour; this came after Louis Tomlinson was wowed by one of their covers and invited them along. They would also open for them on their Where We Are tour and the Australian leg of their On the Road Again tour.

Since then, the band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and performed on three sold-out headlining tours.

Sound:
The band’s sound has evolved quite a bit since they debuted. When their debut album dropped, people would consider them a boy band like One Direction or the Jonas Brothers. But they proved them all wrong when they released their second album, going for a sound more comparable to All Time Low. Now, they’re a mix of both pop and rock. They still play their instruments, but they’ve added pop beats to the tracks.

-He used to go to a different school from the other three members, but he eventually transferred to their school.
-His mom and dad divorced when he was young, and then she remarried a guy named Dawkins and had Lauren and Harry.
-He’s rumored to be dating fashion blogger Kaykay Blaisdell.

Michael Gordon Clifford
Birthday: November 21, 1995
Position: Lead guitar, backing vocals
Fun facts:
-He loves McDonald’s – or Macca’s, as they call it in Australia.
-He hates his middle name.
-He’s an only child.
-He used to be known for the many times he’s dyed his hair; now it’s always blond.
-While Luke is the lead singer, it was Michael who had the idea. He suggested to Luke one day that they get a garage band together, and the rest is history.
-He’s married to Instagram star Crystal Leigh.

Calum Thomas Hood
Birthday: January 25, 1996
Position: Bass guitar, keys, backing vocals
Fun facts:
-He has a sister, Mali-Koa, who is also a singer.
-He looks Asian, but he’s actually of indigenous New Zealander descent.
-Calum was the one who made Ashton’s membership official.
-He’s dating a singer named Brandy Schwechler, otherwise known by the social media handle “almondmilkhunni”.
