Lexie Liu is a Chinese singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer. She participated in K-Pop Star 5 in 2015, finishing in fourth place. She also participated in The Rap of China in 2018, and finished in fourth place as well. Her debut album came the year after when she released her EP 2030 in 2019.

i wanna tell u - The first song that really got my attention from the first note. Maybe I'm just a big sap, but it spoke to me on an emotional level. And then I saw the music video and read the lyrics too and I was sold. The constant and repeating beat gives it a dreamy and floaty vibe, really feels like someone drowning in love. From how it sounds it seemed like a simple ballad or love song, but the more I read the lyrics it seems so sad but also so lovely. The narrator being so smitten that they can't sleep just being near the person they love, or holding their hand: "Lying by your side/I can't sleep/Your hand in mine", but also knowing full well that the person is not opening up to them just yet, aren’t ready for a relationship or the next step: "I wanna kiss you, but it’s that gonna be an issue?/Cuz you have heard enough of this”. Even though the narrator’s love isn’t reciprocated and it hurts them: ’’Love is it a crime?/Killing my pride so tenderly”, still they don’t give up and reassure the love interest, that it doesn’t have to be more, they can go slowly and patiently: "Ok, ok, ok/Love can be a simple thing/We can float and listen/No need to look for an answer”

3.14159 – The song sounds so fun, and catchy from the start. It’s also cheeky in sound and lyrics: ’’Everybody here outside looking for violence/At least we make it fun”. It really is a song to release your inhibitions and expectations from society, and tbh JUST HAVE FUN XD.

Bad Dream – Just pure heartbreak tbh, but I love it, maybe I have emotional problems. While ’i wanna tell u’ feels like a shy confession without strings attached, bad dream seems like the same yearning, but also being aware that it won’t lead to anything permanent. The music is very stripped down, soft and sad piano playing the main role. The lyrics hitting the nail: ’’What did I do? What did I say?/I know, it’s already enough/What would I do without your love/Will you show me how?” with the final lines: ’’Can’t help this, it’s over/Don't want this to be over”
