You may have heard their name ad infinitum since I'm mentioning them almost constantly; but................ have you listened to at least one song?



PassCode is a Japanese alternative idol girl group who sings and dances to a genre of loud rock, electronic sounds, autotuned vocals, and death screams called electronicore. It was formed on 2013 by producer Koji Hirachi as a bubblegum pop cute idoly group. The original lineup consisted on Reika Kanzaki, Saki Sakurai, Kyoko Kazuki, and Yuri Kurohara. From all of them, only Yuri lasted for more than a year. Nao Minami joined on mid 2013, and Kaede Takashima and Yuna Imada joined on 2014. By this time, they transitioned from the original cutesy stuff, to electronicore. This lineup remained together until 2015, when Yuri left after Hinako was added to the group on a move that took the girls by surprise. The new lineup remained together until last year, when Yuna left the group for health reasons, being replaced by ex-ladybaby Emily Arima. For being a Japanese group, that have lineup changes quite frequently, PassCode has kept together almost unchanged for quite long.

Thanks. Emily's presence is still slightly strange to me. I severely miss Yuna from time to time. I think Yuna was already on hiatus last year by this time; so we could say she had already had her last show. I'm not sure of that; but less than a month is what is left for the first year without Yuna. I don't know if I have mentioned this to you; but, I mention it now. Yuna is a living legend. In her time, she was highly regarded as the best idol screamer ever. That was something that set PassCode aside. Losing her was a big loss for the group.

I can never really get into rock or electronic/heavy metal bands.
But MAJOR credits to Arima, I could never scream like that without my vocal cords falling out.
