Biography + Basic Info
Xdinary Heroes is a Korean rock band under JYP’s sublabel, Studio J. The band consists of six members: Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, Jun Han, O.de, and Jooyeon. All the members have a hand in writing, composing, and producing their music. Xdinary Heroes can be shortened to XH or XDH, but the name itself is also a short form. It’s short for Extraordinary Heroes, meaning “anyone can be a hero”.
Starting on November 1st, 2021, JYP started releasing teasers hinting at a new group. The first teaser was a simple “Heroes Are Coming” sign, and then the logo and group name were revealed the following week. Then, as the month went on, JYP started uploading individual videos revealing each member, starting with Jooyeon. After those were all put out, videos were posted of the members each playing their respective instruments: Jooyeon on bass, O.de on synthesizer, Gaon on rhythm guitar, Jun Han on electric guitar, Jungsu on keys, and finally Gunil on drums. The band then made their official debut on December 6th with the song “Happy Death Day”, which debuted at #12 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
In the summer of 2022,, the band released their debut EP, entitled Hello World, followed by Overload that fall and Deadlock and Livelock in 2023. In April 2024, they released their first full album, entitled Troubleshooting, and in the summer, they released a series of four single albums entitled Open Beta (v6.1, v6.2, v6.3, v6.4). They've just released their latest EP, Live and Fall, in October 2024.

Night before the end (6/10)
I wasn’t expecting a slower song as the title, as I’m used to their more intense tracks. I didn’t necessarily dislike the song, the chorus really stood out to me, I liked their voices and enjoy the instrumental throughout. I personally just wished for more in the verses.
XYMPHONY (5/10)
LOVE the instrumental, it’s a whole journey. But this is just one of their songs I’m not crazy about, I just felt like it was missing something.
Feeling Nice (6.5/10)
I think this goes for all their songs, but the instrumental is
I liked this more than the previous track but, large sections of the song sounds far away so I felt like I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
Little Things (7.5/10)
Reminds me of something I would have listened to when I was younger, kind of sounds like something 5SOS would have put out possibly? Really nostalgic sounding. Added to my playlist!
Money On My Mind (9/10)
Yes, yes this is my kind of pop/rock jam
Xdinary Heroes have always been a group that’s a bit of a hit or miss for me personally, but I do think they have some solid gems and for those who like rock, you should give them a listen for sure. A few other songs I like by them is Strawberry Cake, Pluto, and Freakin’ Bad.
