Basically people are blocking big celebrities on social media who haven’t spoken out about what’s going on between Israel and Palestine. What is your opinion on this, whether you have or have not participated in it?​

i strongly believe people have a duty to condemn evil when they see it. we should encourage people with platforms to speak up, and yes some palestinians on the ground are asking to block zionist celebrities and celebrities who havent spoken up about palestine, but for them its about making a statement. not the witch hunts and performative "my fave posted about palestine what has yours done" brags stan twitter has turned it into

if people really want to do their part its better to read palestinian literature and explore their art, educate yourself about what has and is happening, engage in conversations about palestine,... focus more on what you can do and less on what other people arent doing

I don't participate in it. Even celebs are trying to do their best. That doesn't have to include saying anything about this war to not get cancelled. Plus, topics like these could actually be triggering to some celebs. Whether or not that's the case though, they don't have to address it publicly imo.

I don't partake since that's not me but I also don't mind if other people do it or not..
