Have you seen signs saying “don’t harass those who wear a mask”? (2 Viewers)

Like yeah signs saying wear a mask or saying that they’re optional are normal. But have you seen signs saying to not harass those that choose to wear one?

I have and it’s depressing because where I live people are more likely to wear masks than some parts of the country, I hadn’t seen any signs like that until recently. It also makes me think that it was probably triggered by an actual thing that happened which is frustrating because how hard is it to mind your own business in regards to that? If you’re putting others at risk yeah but if you’re wearing a mask, the worst case scenario is that nothing happens, that’s not worth getting upset about imo?

i havent but that sounds kind of insane tbh, imagine getting so heated over a personal choice someone else makes that doesn't affect your life in the slightest but could very well save theirs

Idk. Like I would get it more reversed. Still not okay to harass someone not wearing a mask, but masks have a chance of helping and realistically no real chance of harming, so someone choosing to not wear a mask then getting kicked out when a place requires it sure, they need to wear one for the possible safety of others. But the reverse? That’s completely nonsensical imo, you’re literally not involved in that situation? Think what you want about them being sheep or whatever, but you having an opinion about someone else doesn’t make harassing them okay. Like just think about the sheer number of people who probably thought they were an idiot and chose to not engage with and/or harass them?

never seen them before but there wasn't any major backlash against mask wearing down under so it's not as big of a deal here
