today i have 6th grade children coming to my english class and we're supposed to work with them and teach them things. im really nervous because i just dont know how to explain english to them since i just learnt it by listening and i dont know any of the grammatical rules i would tell my teacher that i wanna opt out but she probably wouldnt let me since i'm the best in my class but it's really embarassing

Do not worry about that 'law'. What's the biggest problem with those kids? That you need to explain them things or that they ask questions?

both because i'm bad at explaining in general, especially things like english grammar or math exercises

Having said that, if it is your job to teach kids, you can't run away from them every time.

A good thing about most kids is that they are laid back. Even if you do something embarassing and they laugh about it, they don't laugh about you. It's no big deal for them. And if it's only one time, you'll probably won't see those kids again.

If there are other teachers, just tell them that you are nervous for reason xyc.

i'll try to convince my teacher that im not qualified the bad thing is, my middle school is connected to their primary school; students that attend that primary school are more likely to get a spot in my middle school since they're linked so i probably will see them again next year
