that's what i'm asking as well... these days i just stick to ezgif because i tried photoshop for gifs so that maybe the quality could be better but in the end it was not

No no of course give credit or keep the watermarks on them

I download the mp4 (or convert the file into a mp4), trim it so that it's as short as possible, open it up on photopea (20 fps) and then add my colouring psd adjusted so that there aren't any weird patches then save
sometimes when I feel like putting in more effort I crop out the background to make it transparent, like the chibi chu yunxiu in my sig
also, if you can download 4k, download 4k
the quality difference between 4k and 1080 is insane

i set to adaptive & diffusion; a couple months ago i saw a post on how to adjust the color table to remove excessive grain so i've been doing that too
