okay so maybe I yapped too much(quoting users who asked how I'm doing)
I'm doing good! I transferred to a public school (I forgot if I already told you guys that I've been studying in a private school all my life, until now lol) and I've already joined workshopsone is for journalism. I had no experience but I was chosen to go with other selected students. I didn't even audition (? or is attend or join the right term) for their elimination round, but the journalism coach asked me to try and make an article (they did the elim round the day before the workshop thingy happened btw) and they somehow chose me
the workshop was held at another national high school. and the other one is for science investigatory project. although I do have experience when it comes to SIP, that's why they chose me
meanwhile, this was held at our school but the speaker was from the other national high school (am I making any sense, I've lost a lot of braincells me thinks)
I also competed in an asean culmination at our school. I'm not sure if you guys know what asean is lol. it means the association of southeast asian nations. me and my partner represented singapore. there was also a q&a portion, it was like a pageant and it was my first time so I was really nervousmy answer in the first round was sooo bad. I couldn't express my ideas. I was also overwhelmed with all the people watching me HAHAHA
but I think my answer in the final round was pretty good. yes, I stuttered a little and got lost for a few seconds but it was pretty good! do you guys wanna know the final question
oh and it was also my partner's first time. we got 1st runner up hehe, I think that's pretty good! we were almost the champion but one of the judges said we weren't very... demure
what I was supposed to do, my partner kept yapping and yapping, I couldn't just ignore him 😭😭 they said we were the only ones talking during the competition. but the champions were also from our section (there were 2 pairs/4 representatives in our grade level) so it's still a win! they are also experienced so their win was still deserveddd. and after that competition, I realized that speaking in front of a large crowd isn't actually that bad. transferring was a really good idea! my previous school was so lowkeyyyy and all, they focus more on academics
and I also participated in the sudoku contest for secondary schools in our district (okay so there are levels of competitions, first it's district, then division, then regional and then national. and idk, maybe there's also an international one). I used to just do sudoku for fun but they picked me as the grade 10 representative aaaa. I didn't even participate in their elimination round fjskbdjd. and I wasn't properly trained, it was like only for two days or somethingthere were only 3 of us btw. I got 2nd hehe. the 1st placer finished the hard level so fast it got me speechless
she an expertttt. at least I didn't get last place, right? 😭 I'm still proud of myself though
and OOOOH, I think it wasn't meant for me cause I still have to participate in the SIP contest thingy. and like, if I won the sudoku contest, I wouldn't be able to join the SIP one (it's the same event and it's a division level event)! SIP was always my priority cause I need it for experienceee (also cause there's a really big chance I might get to program something there). I gotta get them experiences if I wanna get it into my dream university
are there any majorrr (or minor) happenings in your life you'd like to share? heh
omg, you finally quit !! 🥺🥺 i'm glad to hear thathow are things going? I wish you all the best beybey
and aww, thank youuuu
same old selfie hehe
sorry you had to read all that
