I see this drama everywhere is it a new hit? Like 49days... dream high.. city Hunter.. ?? How good is it?? I want to watch it it looks nice from the teasers but i am not sure.

It's OSTs are dominating the charts. It's ratings are now in the double digits region so doing very well. As for the show, a lot of people say it's pretty good ^^

I should do the same. It's torture waiting for 2 episodes a week so I can find out what happens next. I would wait until the 3rd to last episode to binge watch unless you can binge watch all the episodes in one day (An episode is released every Saturday and Sunday).

The OSTs are just beautiful and exactly in the right place, the storytelling is on point and it doesn't drag like most dramas. Most importantly, the main leads are IU and Yeo Jin Goo. I couldn't ask for a more perfect drama than this.

Just watched first episode. I thot IU was miscast when I saw her 1998 scenes but her 2019 scenes with Ku Chan Seong (not sure the actor's name, see above post) were perfect, I really bought her as the powerful boss of hotel for the dead. Pity the father and son for not realizing they were in a story n wat kind of story they were in n making choices that they might not hv made if they knew they were in a supernatural story: see wrong genre savvy, or actually genre ignorant.

I watched 2 ep but I find it boring tbh. The acting is not that great (really bad imo), there is not a single good joke, also no chemistry between the main characters.
I am really disappointed.

I also dropped it after ep4 so freaking boring.. no chemistry between the 2 leads... IU is ok but the male lead acting is so dull and unconvincing.. I should have dropped it earlier tbh

about IU... maybe her role doesn't fit? She is supposed to be a cold, arrogant woman but I just don't feel it. She is not that bad, but something is off for me
yeah the male lead is absolutely terrible

Her acting might not be that good, but she was convincing enough for her role... tho the male actor has better skills but just didn't click with me... he felt awkward doing that role because it didn't fit him..

We all have different tastes I guess

I would suggest giving it another go. The chemistry between the leads isn't the best but the story gets better as you go on. It just takes a while to settle in until the story actually begins. ^^

Well if you find the actors hv no chemistry lacking, it's ok to stop watching. I like this show n watched it cos Taeyeon ost is in it. Stuck at episode 5/6 cos no time. Hope the ending is good tats all. The endings of Korean dramas r a bit unsatisfying for me cos they're too formulaic/cliche to me. But I'll watch for the story progress n actors in it. Even if the ending turns out formulaic/cliched.

The story actually looked intersting at first, but the acting is... :c I really wanted to like this drama, maybe I had too high expectations.

Hmm... I think the acting is pretty good though? I've watched a lot of Kdramas with plenty of bad acting so I guess it was fine for me. I also don't go into a Kdrama expecting anything because I know that I'll get disappointed at some point

Yeo Jin Goo is pretty good actor (I've seen him act in other dramas before) but his character is pretty hard to portray. It's probably one of the few things I dislike about the drama. I can't quite explain it but I can't connect with the character at all and he seems so one-sided.

You learn more about different ghost's stories in the drama and that's probably my most favourite part. I like it more than the storyline tbh. Those parts remind me of anime for some reason because anime tend to have a lot of side stories alongside the main storyline.

I hope you give it another try ^^

I actually started to watch it because I saw a clip about one of the ghost stories, it looked really interesting
Tbh I only watched 3 or 4 (?) kdramas: Goblin and Whats wrong with sec Kim were amazing acting wise.. Maybe I really expect too much.

Okay, I will give it another try, maybe another 2-3 episodes can convince me. I will update later
