So yesterday, I helped babysit my BF's nephew.
It was fun no lie.
BUt I don't think I'm the best with kids.
Sure I have a somewhat childlike energy and imagination
that allows me to play with kids easier.
But also I talk to kids like they are adults sometimes.
Like I don't know how to baby them at times and so I just
talk to them like they are my age or some shit and I don't think that's how it's supposed to be done.

Unless I know them pretty well I'd say I'm the same. Also I have a hard time reprimanding his Nephew.

Babysitted 6 months old and older. I have worked with teenagers and all the yadada.
Hormones always come in handy while taking care of little fellas as motherly instincts just do the job.
The older kids ... you just need a bit of reading about psychology development and you know how to handle them.
It will all come with time and practice!
It comes and goes naturally, just go with the flow :).

I'm okay with them I guess. I also tend to talk to some of them like they are an adult lol. That's when I can't be bothered to speak on "their level" of understanding lmao.

I wonder if they like/respect being spoken to in more of a mature way?


Babies/toddlers are easier to be around though tbh. You just have to play with their toys with them as it keeps them happy for ages.

don´t worry about that. I know plenty of people who "are not good with kids / don´t like kids" but they are wonderful parents to their own children ♥. you´ll shine as a mama!

Ehhh, it depends. I don’t mind kids but if a baby cries I immediately run to the mom because I-I don’t know how to calm an infant, I also have a hard time playing along with kids, like if they want to feed me imaginary food I get so uncomfortable. I’ve babysat before and have helped at nurseries many times so I do alright with them it’s just certain situations I struggle with.
