How big is your video game backlog? (1 Viewer)

I just bought Discounty even though I know I'll buy Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar next week. Maybe I can really get through Discounty in a week and return to backlog zero.

Don't feel bad about it, I do it all the time. Like for my Switch I often buy several games at once because of how cheap they are when they have sales. For my ps4 I still haven't completed FF7 and God Eater 3. On my Switch I still need to finish atleast 5 games. Persona Strikers, Persona 5 Royal (tho I did play and finish the normal 5 one on my ps4, but I got royal for the special extra characters and content), My time at Portia (also finished it before on pc), Torchlight III, Monster Hunter Rise. I also still need to finish Diablo II resurrected. And this is not even counting the games on my Steam I still need to finish...

Yeah, I sometimes feel overwhelmed when I notice the games I still have to finish or play. The persona games for me are something I just need to be in the mood in because it's so heavily text based to read and focus on. I was suppose to play persona 4 during spring and finish but that never happened...lol. I try now not move on to another game until I have finished the one I am currently playing. I mostly play RPG games so when I beat it and get to max level and all best items is when I call it finished.

My most recent one on the Switch that I finished is Saga Frontier 2 remastered. I could never finish that game when I was a kid, but now I finally was able to finish it and got everything I could out of it. The nostalgia of the music and sound and seeing the characters hit me hard.

Saaaaame! That's my other big reason for not bouncing around: every game is just slightly different and I always find myself being like "what idiot mapped the buttons like this??"

And if the rules are too complicated, then I feel like I have to start over, because a good game will slowly teach you how to be good at it. And jumping back in to mid-to-late game, I'll be like "I'm sorry, this is clearly impossible"

I did manage to beat it just need a few more trophies and it's 100% platinum. I for sure was better at fighting games when a kid and also platform games. I think when I am grey and old I'll stick to just slow tactical games

You're more committed than I am!! Final Fantasy X-2 is my favorite video game, and I only made myself try the FFX mini games once. No ultimate weapons for me!

they're not bought games thankfully but i remember dropping genshin impact to focus on that company's other and more trendy (at that time) game, honkai star rail. then i wanted to return to playing genshin impact but in the middle of that i had a really bad fallout with my former best friend who got me into these games to begin with, so i never came back and now the only games i play are mobile ones where i guess random 1980s songs. i'm definitely better at that than at fighting pixel monsters
