How did you feel after getting your vaccine? (1 Viewer)

Okay so I do want to get the vaccine eventually but I'm actually scared to get it because of some of the things I heard about it. I've heard about people feeling sick when they get their doses and I even have an aunt who felt super sick after getting both doses of it. I keep hearing so many bad things about it, but then again who knows if those things are even true.

I know I might sound like a wuss but I already had Covid at the end of last year and I really don't want to feel feel the same symptoms all over again, especially if I feel worse than last time. And one of my doctors really wants me to get the vaccine soon


If you've been vaccinated then how did you feel afterward? Did you feel normal, or did you feel sick afterward?

After my first shoI had flu like symptoms for a few hours and then I was fine
And my limbs hurt after the second shot

But I gladly accepted feeling sick for a few hours then getting seriously ill and having a bit freedom back

First Shot: I Felt mostly fine but with a sore arm.

Second Shot: Sore Arm, headache, and really drowsy for a day or two.

i haven't gotten vaccinated for the exact same reasons as you; hearing side effects other people have experienced has really scared me, especially with rumors of worse or different side effects affecting people with one of my health issues. but, a friend of mine has gotten both of her doses of moderna and luckily hasn't experienced any side effects the whole time other than a sore arm.

second shot I had a headache with some on and off drowsiness

but tbh I think my shots went pretty well other than that. my parents got pretty sick after their shots but I didn't encounter that many side effects

After the first dose, I was fine for the most part, just woke up with a sore arm the morning after.

The night I got my second dose, I kept hallucinating and waking up with a start from bizarre dreams. Then, I was in and out of bed the entire next day with aches all over.

I felt fine after the first other than a sore arm. The second I had a sore arm too and a headache.

I feel fine after first dose n im getting second dose next week. Only noticeable difference iv experienced is increased hunger pangs/stomach feels hungry thoughout the di hvnt had much appetite the past yr, so i was eating less but iv been hungry n eaten almost 3 square meals a day (maybe 2.5 meals actually but it was more like 1.5~2 meals during the past few mths b4 n not much hunger pangs/stomach feeling hungry thoughout the day, but maybe its just me n not caused by getting vaccinated). Other than tat i feel substantially same as before, which was stressed out n anxious in a lowkey way already. I feel slightly more optimistic abt getting 2nd dose of vaccine so im kinda more hopeful tat i wont be stressed/anxious as much after next week/mth if i dont hv bad side effects. We'll see.

I got the Pfizer vaccine.

first dose - sore arm only
second dose - little fatigue and mild joint pain

If/When I become eligible for a third shot (booster) I'm getting one. I'm not in any of the high risk categories, but I'd rather deal with a third shot than that Delta variant.

Surprisingly fine. I, too, got the Pfizer vax.

1st Dose: Slight pain in arm, slight swelling of a lymph node under my armpit in the arm that got shot (went away after a few days, apparently normal.) Sluggishness for about a week.

2nd Dose: Slight pain in arm for a few days, maybe up to a week.

My parents were fine, too. Mother had 0 effects from either and she has multiple sclerosis.

But everyone is different.

My parents had Pfizer and they were both fine with some headache (mum a bit more serious than dad). Felt pretty much okay after the second doze.
Me and my sister got Astra.
After the first doze, I had a really heavy reaction - high fever, shaking like crazy, cold sweat, I did think I would die. that lasted for two days. Sore arm.
Second doze resulted in a mild headache.

I don´t regret getting it, neither do I believe in some magic powers of the vaccine. but I would get it again.
Each should act according to their conscience.

I have just gotten first shot of moderna. My arm was sore few days and I was rly tried the day after.

But it's wasnt as bad as getting flu or corona for me.

Second dose had no symptoms at all.

I was fine the day of and didn't even have a sore arm but the next day it hit me like a truck and I just slept the entire day because of how tired I felt and had a bad headache
