Plain answer. They both really liked this name and it's a goddess name (goddess of the hunt and moon)

My mom just liked the name. She wanted to name me Julia and call me Julie, but my dad vetoed it bc of an aunt he didn't like. I sure wish he hadn't, though, bc that name is so much prettier than Stephanie! And as for the aunt? She's since changed her attitude and is now the sweetest old lady.
