and for what reason usually?

whenever I got grounded, it was for bad grades, being a smart-ass in class, and getting detention because I was late to school one too many times. My parents would usually take away my computer (or concertgoing, if one was in the near future) privileges. I almost had the latter happen once in my freshman year for being a bad student (I was in my sassy teen era), but luckily, I was able to clean up my act by the concert date.

ive never been grounded. if my parents wamted to punish me in my teens they took away my phone

I got grounded one time for skipping a whole day of school. But I was in the building I was just self-harming in the bathroom and crying the whole day but I didn't tell my parents so I got grounded for it.

In my teen years:
1. All electronics taken away
2. Not allowed to hang out with friends
3. And not allowed go anywhere fun on weekends (literally just go to school and/or work and come home)

But as a child had to “stand on the wall”. Idk why it was called that because I stood in front of a wall to reflect on my actions. The length of time depended on the actions: it could range from a few minutes to a few hours.

tbh i've never got grounded but one time i wrote smth kind of bad and they called my mom and she took my tablet away from me for like 2 weeks

i literally reside in my room 24/7 it would be make more sense if my parents forced me to go out and exercise

I never did, my mom would just stop talking to me when she was upset. She always did and does it no matter my age, but now I live far away so we dont talk often enough for her to be upset about smth.
I would actually go out and splerge more on days that me and my parents didnt have a good relationship because i didnt wanna see them or eat what they cooked. Kind of a rebel/spoiled daughter i guess, lol.
