thanks for all of this!!Run cool (but not ice cold) water over it until it doesn't hurt to have it out of the cold water. If you have aloe vera (might have for sunburns) or Neosporin, you can apply that after to help keep it cool. If you get blisters, cover with a clean bandage, but not too tightly. You can also take an anti-inflammatory/pain medicine, like Tylenol to help manage pain and keep it from swelling.
Keep clothing off it and keep it out of the sun while it's healing. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and aid in healing.
You should see a doctor if you get a fever, you have pus/drainage from the burn, or the redness does not reduce.
Focused so much on the question forgot to add: rest it lots and feel better.Sorry your family isn't much help.
yeah i did but now it's burning again cuz i'm away from the tapI usually run cool water over it, and then put a bandaid on it if it’s really bad
skin's not broken or anything but it burnsssssICE. and burn cream if you have it.
Ice reduces secondary damage by the inflammation, and burn cream helps heal. Some have triple antibiotic too, incase the skin broke.
I'm pretty gung-ho with ice, so I ice until numb (too much!) but generally what I do is that I fold up a pad of paper towels (on a table), put one or two cubes on the paper and keep my finger on that, like it's a trackpad. It gets really annoying to try to fix the ice to my finger imho.skin's not broken or anything but it burnsssss
i gotta freeze some ice (fam ate it)

To make sure, are you saying you put the finger directly on the ice? If so, that’s not recommended (for any body part), generally when icing injuries it’s recommended that there’s some kind of a barrier, like a towel or plastic bag. Otherwise you do run the risk of potential frostbite.I'm pretty gung-ho with ice, so I ice until numb (too much!) but generally what I do is that I fold up a pad of paper towels (on a table), put one or two cubes on the paper and keep my finger on that, like it's a trackpad.
