How do I refrain from thinking (1 Viewer)

I fell down some stairs a few days ago and hit my head pretty hard. I landed myself a mild concussion. Didn't know until last night when I got a CT. I'm already feeling much better. I'm not supposed to be engaging my mind in heavy duty activities. Not supposed to spend long periods staring at my phone, TV, computer screens, etc. WTF else do I do?! I was told I could stay home but screw that. I also can't watch any emotionally charged movies which I found amusing.

Yes, diagnosed when I was 10ish. rediagnosed at 37.

I've been researching adhd for months and there is a huge chance I have it and I'm too scared to tell my uncle cuz he doesn't think it exists and I don't want the doctor to say I don't have it if I manage to convince my uncle

I don't have ADHD but maybe this helps:

Finding positive distraction always worked for me in the past when I started overthinking. I guess running and working out aren't options for you. Go for a longer walk, do some gardening if you have a garden. Play with your dog. Play an instrument. If you don't have an instrument, think about buying one and start playing. My depression was the reason why I learned playing guitar. Practicing an instrument can be like meditation.
