How do other aces feel about the term caedsexual? (1 Viewer)

Caedsexual (sometimes shortened to just Caed) is an asexual spectrum microlabel that describes someone who feels their lack of sexual attraction is intrinsically connected to or caused by past trauma. Caedsexual people may also identify with a different asexual spectrum identity because while the label is helpful for many people, it shouldn't be forcefully imposed on asexuals who have a traumagenic relationship with their asexuality or trauma in general. What do others who are ace think about it? I think it's really one of those things where if you're not the target audience you might not fully get it but you'll still be understanding but I still find it is a fitting term as this can somewhat explain my experience with asexuality
*Writer's note: This identity is also a bit controversial because people think it reinforces the idea that ace people are inherently disordered or mentally ill (not my intent at all btw just context)

I find micro-labels under the spectrum very helpful. Whether or not someone identifies as caed is a personal choice.

This is not a label I was aware of, but very helpful to know. It honestly describes my experiences a lot
