Only. Interact with them when you need to, if you don't need to, don't bother.

Kinda like when you go into a store and need something but can't find it so you have to ask a staff member, they tell you and you say thank you, then never talk to them again, when you return to the store again unless you need something but there will be another nameless staff member willing to help so you never really have to ask the same person lol
