How do you feel about your favorite group(s) changing their concept? (3 Viewers)

I'll just use Twice as an example here. Twice had always been known for their cutesy concepts but when they started having more mature concepts, I noticed that there were some fans who didn't like the new concepts they picked up. It seemed like some fans preferred to see them as cutesy and innocent young girls.
Obviously this didn't just to happen to Twice since there's others who went through the same thing.

What do you think? Do you like it or dislike it when groups change concepts? Or do you not care either way?

It honestly depends. I do not like it when my faves change concepts to fit certain trends (unless its a trend I actually like, lol). If it's a more natural concept change, for example, B1A4's last comeback (concept was changed to show maturity + a new composer), then I think it is alright... because that way it feels less forced.

Although, if I had it my way, I'd want all my faves to stick to cute and fresh concepts, lol. But of course that will not happen when they're getting older now.

I think that it is great that they are trying out something different if they feel like it, that´s why they are the artists and if it was their own decision and not their company´s, that´s even better! but if I don´t like it, of course I might be hoping for the change back :D

Depends on the concept. For example if SuperM decide to do a Wish You Were Here esque title track I’m down but if they decide to do bubblegum teen boy crush vibe then even I might have to say no to that

Groups evolve and grow/diversify as time passes so I can't blame them. But I'd prefer if it feels like a natural progression and not a sudden flip flop of concepts or them trying to randomly hop on some trend.

Twice shifting gradually from Fancy to Feel Special to ICSM felt very much on point (we don't talk about More & More ). While I do miss their happy energy and fun vibes, they have enough material I can go and revisit. Although I'm not a diehard Once anymore because the reasons I became one in the first place are kinda missing now.

I mean if I’m being honest, the main reason I got into Twice was because of their cute concept. In the past, I’ve always been open to them trying something new once or twice but I’ve never really wanted a full on concept change from them. But now that it’s happened... I mean I support the girls and I still love them, but I personally just prefer their cute songs more. But, if they’re more happy doing this sort of thing, then who am I to judge? It’s part of their development as artists and I’m excited to see where they will go with it.

As for my bias group CLC, I personally only started stanning them Where Are You? era so I can’t really say I was around for when the concept change happened, but I can definitely say it was for the best.

Apink have had a steady transition to their new concept, nothing has seemed forced or out of place with them from I Don't Know to Dumhdurum.

Then you have EXO who have never stuck to one concept before. Between the group, sub-units and solos, they've pulled off any genre and concept you could throw at them.

Tbh I have unstanned Gfriend, WJSN, Oh My Girl and Mamamoo for exactly that reason...
I mean if the new concept was still my cup of tea, I wouldn't have unstanned but yeah I am not convinced

Depends on if the shift is executed well for me like I stayed on board with Gfriends and enjoyed Apinks newer stuff as well but other shifts like the one Dreamcatcher is doing right now have been less my thing
