I only do it for myself. I like those groups and I want to keep in touch with them, and know them. Heck I even am keeping a thread that's not an artist thread because I want to decide whether or not I stan. I may eventually convert it into an artist thread, I hope it's possible.

I´m sure it is! yeah, me too. I just keep updating those threads hoping one day people will start stanning them ♥

Well, hmmmmm......... as things are right now, it seems artist threads get little attention, even from stans; so I just keep them for myself, some kind of a playground, I don't know, for trying to know the idols' personalities through their social media accounts. Japanese idols seem to be more available through those media rather than shows, at least for the west.

yeah, it has been my long time problem with threads requirements, rather than updating the threads of already existing artists people create new threads for everything, and I´m sometimes guilty of that too. I wish cards were awarded for the hard work of keeping those threads alive.
some artists do keep their accounts dumb (a bunch of selfies and nothing much), but others do really allow their fans into their lives, that´s nice and those are the ones I like following.

The thing is new threads tend to pull more interest than existing ones, so if you get new news, you'll want people to notice. Right now, a new thread is the most effective way to do so. Not to mention that the card game put a pressure over making new threads.

yes, I think it is more the cards game that created that bubble about creating this whole "create a new thread for one new picture", but yes, I get your point of view too. if you want a new mv noticed, it´s better to post a separate thread, that´s for sure. but not all things need separate threads.
