How do beauty standards affect you? (Feel free to elaborate)

I prefer standard chinese (similar to SK) beauty standards

but in terms of me personally?
I'm neither a beauty nor standard???? lol

When your ugly they no longer affect you. Short of a magic wand or being reborn... there's no help for me.

:( I feel the same way too, kind of hard to believe that "everyone's beautiful" when we have to get plastic surgery and fit the beauty standard to be considered "pretty". I still get teased ever since middle school (i'm in college now) about how I look.

but even then, beauty is subjective. don’t downgrade yourself for others even though it’s hard 🤍

it's the same with anything no?
if you don't have it rather than getting bogged down and fretting over it - move on and focus on the things one is good at...
I think I learned that a long time ago...

if you aren't "objectively" beautiful then why fret over it - focus on the things you can control like the way one dresses or makeup or exercise and staying healthy and things like that

and remember 50% of the world is below average in looks lol

honestly no recently a guy saw my mom and cousin and said u got the bad part of the genes and its gotten bad that i put filters

the bullying I went through all of my school years from a kid to a teen because I don't fit the beauty standards affected me and my self-perception to irreversible damage to this day I still don't like looking at myself for too long and I didn't heal, I analyze and pick at all my features almost everyday, no one does that anymore as they did during school but I just remind myself that I see the beauty in everyone I look at c: I really admire everyone I see :") so surely that's better than all those people who were physically beautiful but had such an ugly attitude of judgment and superiority in their hearts
