Somewhat important. I personally believe you can choose your family. If someone is cut off, they're cut off for a reason.​

There’s family that I would drop everything for and then there’s family I could care less (and would not be attending their funeral)

this question is broad and different for everyone, there is such thing as found family/choosing your own family, some people don't get along and don't find value or acceptance in their blood-related families, to me family is important but that's not to say it doesn't come with its own complexities
