How long after debut do you start to get impatient for a fandom name? (1 Viewer)

I never thought about it tbh, like it is nice and all and exciting, but at the same time I cannot remember me being impatient for a fandom name. If anything I find myself more curious about lightsticks

Oh, you generally have to be patient for those! It's got to be disappointing to wait and wait and then have the end result not even be cool.

The worst part about it is if the idols get several lightsticks. I think there is a boygroup who has one for each member. And the fact they are so expensive too...Nmixx are the first group I own a lightstick of. Itzy theirs also had tempted me, not to mention Dreamcatcher their actual long magic scepter too lol.

Dreamcatcher's light stick is still gold. I was so envious seeing all the Insomnia with it when I went to their concert a few years back.

The cult like hooded/cape they also released along with their stick was such an amazing thing on their companies part. I would have loved to see the reaction of random police partrolling and randomly see all these hooded figures with long sticks walking around

I do try to remember that groups would sometimes take so long to announce a fandom name that they'd finally get one closer to disbandment than debut.

My stan rate is glacial(takes a long time) except aespa & IVE were quite quick n their fandoms names were announced within mths i think. So i hv no qualms/thoughts on speediness of announcing fandom names.

But I'm commenting here in this thread tat thought of the perfect fandom name for LIMELIGHT just after they announced the change to MADEIN n additional 3 members. So I think sooner is better when announcing/deciding fandom names(I'm keeping my inspired fandom name hidden as ir might work for other fandoms if an appropriate opportunity pops up, or I'll just keep it to myself forever!)

I agree! I think sometimes companies drag on for too long and then a fandom name that would have made a lot of sense ends up getting claimed by another group. Like how Jennie had to backpedal on "Rubies" because that already belongs to Eunbi's fans.

For "Rubies" YGE couldn't or wouldn't show their hand early(like just after Jennie's solo debut since it took yrs before her first cb after solo(almost 5 yrs or 6 yrs if u count her singles or 7 yrs, which is like a whole gg contract cycle if counting Ruby her solo studio album!)

I don't care abt the slow release cycle for BP/Jennie or others but the fandom name issue could hv been settled faster if YGE had announced it even before iz*one disbanded!)

Only Lisa had her fandom name earlier than the other BP members n luckily it was officially announced(before say lily rose Depp maybe claimed it as her fandom name LOL)
