I had a friend ask me this a while ago and my answer was I would die so quickly and prefer that because all the running, scavenging for food and supplies and trying to avoid being killed by other people along with the zombies is meaningless in the end.
So, my answer is no, I'd rather accept my fate and die.

His answer was he'd fight and try to outlast as long as possible.
