How many classes do/did you have in a school day? (1 Viewer)

and do you prefer a few longer classes or many shorter classes?

in middle school, I had seven or eight (first school was eight, second was seven) 60-minute classes, but in high school, it was four 90-minute classes, although last time I checked the district website, they'd switched to seven 60-minute classes. I think I prefer fewer and longer just bc I only had four subjects per term to study for, so it was easier to remember for which classes I had homework.

i mean 7 classes was nice because class would go by quickly but then you'd only get one night to get your homework done.
4 classes a day was okay ig. class took forever but atleast you'd get an extra night for hw since there was A and B day

A and B days were a sturggle for me, a struggle with a capital S! I had a learning disability, so it was hard to know when each subject's homework was due. Sure, you get an extra night with that kind of schedule, but my parents were constantly like, "Which day is math?" "Which day is social studies?" and stuff like that bc it confused even them!

I preferred short classes. The ones in HS were 90 min each, I had 4-5 depending on whether it was A or B day.
Most college classes were 50 min, but my studio classes were 3 hours.

i only got confused on mondays because i would forget what day we were on after the weekend
so i guess it would've just been best to do the homework the night you got it 😞

They started at 8am every time too Though if the professor said it was gonna be an individual work day, they usually went back to their office. On those days, we would choose to leave early.

My max in high school was 7 and minimum was 3. In college my minimum was 3 and max was 4.

Middle school i had 7 and high school I had 6. Right when I graduated high school they changed it to four a day

I technically have 7 bc of my 0 period but without my 0 period its 6 but i prefer shorter classes bc i feel like the day would go by quicker and now my classes are almost an hour long so they go by really slowly

I don't remember HS but at university we had four courses or units per semester (1/2 year) and each unit was approximately 3 hours of face to face time

in middle school we had 4 days with 6 classes, one day with 7 and one day with 4 or 5. in high school it was anywhere between 4 to 9 classes per day depending on your electives (although theater classes sometimes ended wayyy past school hours, sometimes even after midnight).
all of our classes were about 40-45 minutes, so it worked out pretty well for my adhd. uni was pretty tough tho since all of the classes were about an hour long, so i ended up organizing my schedule so i don't have more than 4 classes per day- i actually had a day with only one class, which i admittedly skipped pretty frequently
