With forum board RPGs, users would "claim" characters (like from anime or a cartoon), and we would have interactions as those characters with a set storyline (either related to show or a AU *alternative universe*). Also, users can create their own characters for these RPGs.

I have three really close friends, who I know since many years
I drifted apart with most of the other friends I made, but that’s okay

they say a few friendships, but close ones are better than many shallow ones

I feel like i have been through several in real life or online friendships. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but after some time people just drift and i'm trying to hang on, while they barely message me back. I sometimes worry with my present friends too, wondering when it will end...

I feel the exact same way sometimes. That’s what happens to most of my friendships in real life except for one who has been friends with me for more than three years by now. Most people just drift away. I try to put enough effort in the friendship to keep that from happening, but it rarely works. I know it may not feel like it’ll ever happen, but please don’t give up. You’ll find that one friend who’ll never ever drift away from you one day.

Online, it’s the exact opposite for me. I have many more friends online and we almost never really drift apart from each other, however, most of the online friends I have lost are as a result of a huge fight between us. Make of that what you will.

i have a friend whom i known since kindergarden, but we dont connect emotionally. I could never tell her my secrets, and then i have a online friend for 2 years now to whom i told many secrets so far.

I say your 3 year friend is a keeper

Most of my friends in rl are people I have been friends with for more than 10+ year, and some of those people I have been friend with since I was in middle and high school.

Online friend though is a different story. I do have trouble maintaining friendship with online friends. There are online friends that I am very close friend with only because we met each in rl.

Some of my irl ones that I’ve been friends with in the past though have eventually turned out to be the fake/toxic friends after all. One of them accused me for doing something bad to her which I’ve NEVER ever did and I never understand why ppl like her would do that, plus we used to be best friends for more than a year until that happened.

Seems u are an extroverted person. Good that u could maintain ur irl friends.
