5 years ago I was in highschool, still trying to figure out how to be a human properly. I had a big crush on one of my friends and was constantly thinking about him, being a typical lovestruck teenager. I also was getting back into performing on stage and trying to sing again

5 years ago I was in my first year of college still working for my dad and hating the job. Also, I think I was getting my driver's license then too or had just gotten it-not entirely sure. Now I'm graduated and have driven for awhile. I am planning on going back to school again or trying to and possibly working part time.

5 years ago I was training to be a teacher and thought I would teach kids forever Now I am in a completely different field

I was severely depressed, still in high school, getting like 3 hours of sleep a night, and hating myself. Now I'm in a much better place

5 years ago I was a super sophomore in college. Having personal struggles, truly hated everyone, had no intentions of befriending people.

Well I did graduate, I'm actively processing my personality and any pain, and am open to new relationships.

Is it bad that I can barley remember what happened around that time in my life?
I was starting my first year as a super senior in High School, super scared because I hadn’t been to public school for five years although I ended up making some friends. Very depressed and angry with my life, didn’t know how to express my anger which led to some things I’m not proud of, and a very anxious person.
Now I have graduated, driving, first real job, I still unfortunately struggle with depression and anxiety and was recently diagnosed with PTSD but, I’m now on medication and I’m way more in control of my emotions then I used to be, I know how to express my feelings in a healthy way and thankfully have more good days then bad. I’m not 100% mentally but I think I’m on the right track.

Five years ago, I was living in a home for the blind with an asshole landlord couple (well, sister and brother), a crotchety old cleaning lady, AND rent that was more expensive than a full mortgage, and I was more broke than a shattered window and often stayed up until three in the morning on my phone. I also had an unhealthy soda-drinking habit.

Now, I live in a two-bedroom apartment with my best friend with a much cheaper rent (around $375-400 per tenant), I'm way better off money-wise, and I've developed much more reasonable sleeping habits and done away with soda. I still order out, but now that I have my own kitchen, I don't do it as often.
