i say 3 years bc i think if i get to a certain age, 3 years younger wouldn't be a deal breaker in maturity. i don't like big age gaps for myself solely bc i want a partner who is on the same life path as me at the time whether it's wanting to explore the world, settle down etc. i can't date someone too old because then they want a family or to just settle down and i'm not there yet. or someone t oo young would still be in college or fresh out of it and it would feel weird to me
