Imperial units are pretty undeniably bad. Like an imperial ton was based on gallons of wine, but not always super consistent because it’s something that can change pretty easily. Some people use mnemonics like “five tomatoes” to remember the number of feet in a mile because why would we just have something easy to remember it like 1,000 meters in a kilometer?
