They would've owned the entire place.
Anna Wintour, I need to have a word with you. Ah-hem.
Even though the only time I care to watch it is when K-idols or celebs are involved.
Other celebs scare me.

• Brands Sponsorships through the fashion houses (Gucci, Chanel, Prada, etc.) - It’s the fashion brands and media companies themselves who pay for the tables at the Gala, not the invitees.
• Individual People who made a Cultural Impact (whether in pop culture, music, sports, etc.)
• Being a Muse for a Fashion Brand: Basically the designer brings stars to promote their brand through their designed costume
• Media companies buying tables: And this is how influencers are able to attend the Met Gala
• Being a Co-chair of the event along with Anna Wintour
• Artists performing at the Gala (this year, Sabrina Carpenter performed at the Gala)

In the end, it’s Anna Wintour who has the last word on who gets invited or not.

the cost to attend this year's MET is reported at $100K - even rich idols like BP don't go because they can (they are sponsored by their respective fashion brands ambassadors - just like only Karina and NN went from Aespa and not Giselle or Winter)

so unless one is willing to fork out 100K (or more like Bezos) yeah no idol will attend for the sake of attending

in BP and Aespa's case - Jisoo for Dior, Jennie for Chanel, Lisa for LV, Rosé for YSL, NN for Gucci, Karina for Prada

like there's lots of brand deals and I'm sure your favs XG have some (or will have some) but the major labels are very selective in who they select to represent them
