No clue. In complete honesty, my sense of smell is very bad. As a child, I don't remember my sense of smell standing out as especially good or especially bad, so I assume it was average. When Covid came around, I was mostly unaffected, except for my sense of smell. I could barely smell anything. People I knew would say they could smell X or Y, and I rarely could, if ever. It has come back slowly, but my sense of smell is MUCH weaker than the average person. It really sucks, but it isn't catastrophic and I've learned to adapt to ot a bit, as I don't know if there is a cure for it (much less that I could afford it, even if there was one). The one silver lining is if someone with bad body odor or breath is next to me, I'm none the wiser.
For comparison to the average person:
* I can only smell scented products of any kind and brand (body mist, leave in hair conditioner, lotion, ect) immediately as I am applying them, or unless I put the affected body part directly beneath my nose and sniff it. Otherwise, I can't smell it at all. Not even within 30 seconds of applying it, and I logically know the smell isn't gone that fast, so it must be my nose.
* I can only smell popcorn burning about half of the time.
* Some dinners that I make other people could smell from multiple rooms away, but I couldn't smell it unless it was directly in front of me, and even then, only faintly.
* I have to physically look to tell if the litter box is dirty, I can't smell it.
