Hybe using V Live to promote Weverse (1 Viewer)

For anyone that doesn't know that V Live is closing sometime this year and fans were worried about the content on the app and the solution from Hybe is that artists who are on Weverse will have their content transferred automatically and artists not on Weverse their content will be gone entirely ​

i was a bit thankful they did this 'cause it gets tiring to have to switch app constantly for content but i am worried about artists like twice or loona who do not have weverse account to transfer content to. i guess they'll have no choice but to have one now.

Makes it transparent they only acquired V Live to try and incentivise people over to Weverse though and from how less active V Live is nowadays it seems at least would rather lose their content than bother with Weverse

they don't really have any other reason to acquire it
though it is a bit scary to think that it gives other companies the perfect excuse to only use paid platforms like bubble to release content

The other part of it is is that Hybes controversial moves are pretty much all signs of a company trying to monopolise.

I find it annoying because I'm tired of HYBE's monopoly. They bought out Pledis and disbanded NUEST, they bought out Source and disbanded GFRIEND. I don't trust them. I'd prefer the groups use INSTAGRAM instead.

Yes using instagram would be much better. I was so mad when they disbanded GFRIEND. Cuz I actually wanted go start stanning them after MAGO

i'm glad bang pd made big hit a private company before leaving bc i don't trust hybe with bts at all
