The court has rejected the Christian Gospel Mission (commonly known as JMS) application for a preliminary injunction against the broadcast of "I Am God: I Am God." As a result, Netflix will release I Am God on the 3rd as scheduled.

I Am God is a documentary funded by Netflix and produced by MBC, which highlights four people who call themselves "God" and the stories behind them. JMS claimed that "[Netflix, the broadcasting channel] and MBC, the production company] defame religious freedom and honor" over JMS President Jung Myung-suk in the documentary episode, "and Netflix· An application for a preliminary injunction was filed against MBC. It was the first application for a temporary injunction against Netflix original content, which drew high attention. Amid the tense confrontation between "freedom of expression" and "freedom of religion," the 21st Civil Division of the Seoul West District Law held a hearing on the application for a temporary injunction against broadcasting on 28 March and conducted a related hearing. After a related hearing, the court sided with Netflix and MBC. The legal profession analyzed that there was not enough necessity to demand a broadcast ban on the ruling, and that JMS was given ample opportunity to rebel during the production of the work, but did not respond to it, which may have influenced the ruling. In the case of what was covered in the documentary, it was already consistently presented on other broadcasts, so it would have been difficult to see it as undermining the "purpose of the public interest."
