The show will be called Under15. They are recruiting across 70 counties for trainees. The trainess will be ages 3 to 15, as the name implies. This is truly disturbing… who thought this was an okay idea?

Parents must be there to consent. Dormatories are common in kpop amd at certain points become mandatory. The definition of abuse varies widely from person to person and culture to culture. Remember, female circumcision exists and is not consider abuse where it's practiced.

Well there are plenty of cases where an underage idol ends up at an abusive company. Parents had to have agreed to that you’d think, given that the idols are minors. I don’t think it’s right to blame the parents for those cases ofc. And even for young young kids, there are kpop groups for them. It’s not necessarily through a survival show all the time but they are still very young. I don’t know the youngest but it didn’t take me long at all to find a girl who debuted at 6 years old. And that was the first kid group I looked at

Honestly I can't either given the concept of this, but I could see a parent signing a slightly older kid. Not a sane parent, mind you, but a parent nonetheless
