This is a member of the group Aweek who debuted recently. Yongjin, one of the vocalists and rappers of the group has been diagnosed with acute glaucoma. For those who are unaware of what it is, glaucoma is a condition where the optic nerve gets damaged, usually by high pressure in the eye. Acute means that rather than the pressure increasing slowly, there are times where it suddenly increases, and due to the nature of it, it needs immediate treatment otherwise the vision can permanently be lost. One of the worst parts is that the condition cant be cured, although they have ways to try lowering the pressure in the eye. Living always having to worry about your eye like this must be so difficult, and I'm sure being an idol only having good vision in one eye would be difficult. I hope the best to him and his group, I hope that he has good health and nothing bad happens to him. :umjicry:

Here is their debut song if anyones curious

i know i have high pressure in my eyes but its not acute, that seems much more terrifying and as you said as an idol especially i can imagine that being difficult so i hope everything works out for him!
I hope you also have no complications and good health, even with that problem. Since my eye infection I need to get my pressure checked because my medications might give me problems with pressure and thats bad enough :umjicry:

sorry to hear that you're also having an issue with eye pressure :(

it definetly is an alarming thing to hear you have initially but you're getting it checked regularly which is definetly good, so don't stress too much, if they catch that you have high pressure there are ways to make it go down, they ahve surgeries and medications and since you don't have it yet you can probably just impliment some of these things (if you don't already) to decrease you'r chance of developing it

  • Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet can help you maintain your health, but it won't prevent glaucoma from worsening. Several vitamins and nutrients are important to eye health, including zinc, copper, selenium, and antioxidant vitamins C, E, and A.
  • Exercise safely. Regular exercise may reduce eye pressure in open-angle glaucoma. Talk to your doctor about an appropriate exercise program.
  • Limit your caffeine. Drinking beverages with large amounts of caffeine may increase your eye pressure.
  • Sip fluids frequently. Drink only moderate amounts of fluids at any given time during the course of a day. Drinking a quart or more of any liquid within a short time may temporarily increase eye pressure.
  • Sleep with your head elevated. Using a wedge pillow that keeps your head slightly raised, about 20 degrees, has been shown to reduce intraocular pressure while you sleep.
  • Take prescribed medicine. Using your eyedrops or other medications as prescribed can help you get the best possible result from your treatment. Be sure to use the drops exactly as prescribed. Otherwise, your optic nerve damage could worsen.
Thankfully as of today I stopped my eye drops, theyre the ones that could give me difficulty with pressure so im hoping it wont be a danger any more :sanapray:

The only issue is I'm still having trouble with focusing my eyes and its still dilated even though it was supposed to stop last Thursday at the latest. Today I'm going back to the doctor though so I'm hoping it'll work out.
