I did not expect Shrek to be mentioned in that book (1 Viewer)

Well... I'm currently reading a Danish non-fiction book about children's and young adult books.

One page started mentioning about intertextuality and then was saying something like: "like the movies about the green ogre Shrek"
Well... because Shrek has characters from fairytales.

They did not mention the fact that Shrek is based on a children's book though.
I'm not sure if that is a well-known fact.​
