from their wikipedia page:

SNH48 is a Chinese idol girl group based in Shanghai. Following AKB48's creator Yasushi Akimoto's concept of "idols you can meet", the group features dozens of female members around the age of 20, who perform regularly in the group's own theater and interact with fans predominantly via the official Pocket48/口袋48 App online and offline via theater and handshake events. as the resident river fan on this site, I wish kpop fans didn't discover this to be honest
there's a certain relationship between fans and idols and their own relationships that's hard to explain, much less so out of context like this

idk, it feels icky in some sense focusing so much on the drama of it all like they're some tv characters (like yeah, lesbians exist, can we move on from that and focus on the actual cheating instead) instead of real life people who did get hurt a lot through all this

I get that drama watching is fun and all but there's a certain way so many intl kpop converts speak of xox like they're characters and roles to fulfil fantasies about their ships and not actual people is disheartening, like they're real people w real relationships and very real struggles and sources of stress

and as crazy and stressful stanning these girls can be, xoxs are all people in the end of the day
