You just need to make the most out of the time you do get and try to do things that keep the distance to a minimum like video chatting or watching stuff together if it'd be tough to do video chatting to feel as close together as possible.

Humans crave intimacy in relationships so typically the lack of it hinders a long distance relationship. As others suggested in the thread, perhaps trying as many ways to spend time would be good. That way you can find which activities relieve that lonesomeness.

I’d give advice, but during a long term relationship I was in my partner apparently missed me so much he jumped in bed with somebody closer to home. That was fun to accidentally find out.
