But I’ve noticed the following for a while and felt that there’s truth to it.
Popular group: releases songs of different genres comeback after comeback.
People: Diverse kings and queens. No one does variety like them. Never the same and slay every concept, as they should.
Nugu group: releases songs of different genres comeback after comeback.
People: this is the difference between popular and nugu groups. Nugu groups can’t find a sound to stick to. They’re always changing genres. That’s why I can’t get into them.
This is coming from someone who likes primarily popular groups. But I’ve seen nugu groups releasing a variety of music genres with good results, just like some popular groups too. And there are examples of nugu groups that can’t seem to find a stable fan base partially due to their sound. And some popular groups stick with a sound and find success with that. But most of the time the difference between “versatile kings and queens” and “flop nugus who can’t find a sound” is the popularity of the group and nothing else imo
