when they really just mean any slightly abrasive song from a group they don't like.
True noise music could never exist in an industry reliant on structure lol
I think those stans would doodoo themselves if they heard what it actually sounds like.

I mean in some ways I do understand why NCT got called that initially.
They have a few songs where the instrumental quite literally sounds like pots and pans clanging + some saws etc

But on the large and general kpop "noise music" really isn't noise music at all.
It's just more unusual and busy instrumentals

Merzbow are a bit too rough for me. The 'noisiest' Industrial bands I listen to are Skinny Puppy and some Metal bands with Industrial influences like Nine Inch Nails.

i never used the term "noisy music" to trash talk about any group but i will definitely use that when i wanna talk about songs that have a "noisy beat" with as annoying word or a phrase repeating through the whole chorus

That's fine. "Noisy" and "noise" are different. I just don't like people using "noise" bc that's a whole different genre
