I hate hearing noises when I'm home alone (1 Viewer)

It's so scary... I think it's the wind hitting the garage door b/c it sounds exactly like the noise it makes when opened/closed and it scares me every time.

I have a hammer under my mattress so it's not like I'm completely defenseless but I wish the house would stop making noises. I'll hear the doorknobs jiggle too and that one freaks me out. I think it's due to past trauma

That does sound scary tbh, I have a dog that would definitely bark and maybe bite intruders so I'm not defenseless either and it makes me feel better

I’m the same way, I always get spooked by any noise I hear when I’m alone. It’s why I always ask for my mom to leave our biggest dog with me when I’m alone.

I live in a really old house so there are creaks and stuff. But I'm never really home alone and if I am I got my 2 dogs so I don't worry as much.

Loud noises mess with my headspace.
