So I’m staying with my grandma and she thinks I can’t find my way to a museum myself. To get there I just go to the metro station that’s super close to the apartment and that anyone would be able to find, especially after being there multiple times. Then I sit on that train until I get to a station I’ve been to and am familiar with. Then I walk down the street until I reach it, it’s in a super obvious location across the river from a massive church that I’ve been to. That’s it. What about that is hard to find exactly?

I am too afraid to go by myself.

I don't like it too. I'm one of the lucky teens in my area who can take public transport alone anywhere and most times, even early morning if I have to. My best friend can't go in alone, like she either needs me or her parents. Just made me stop taking the freedom I got for granted yk?

Yeah. I do get and agree I’m not accustomed to public transport and don’t live in this city. So maybe I’d understand if I was going somewhere with a lot of transfers and walking different places (since that can be hard if the path isn’t straightforwards, google maps won’t show you walking directions online). But sitting on a train for a few stops and walking down one obvious street isn’t all to challenging imo.

Oh I'm anti car-dependence, so I loathe the idea of taking an uber anywhere. And I also really enjoy travelling, as in the process of it. I love going down streets and noticing the little things like cracks in pavement. I love people watching in a train and looking at the landscapes on a bus. And if I get lost, oh well I'm not in a rush, I'll just enjoy the walk yk? I think we, as like people, should take the oppotunity to explore more, city or not. Where does that trainline go to? How about on that ferry? Is that an awesome ass club down the street? Idk this is very deep but I can't imagine my parents holding my hand in the city. They took me in when I was kid a lot so I always had some idea but when I started going in at 14 (maybe 13) I still had a lot to explore and it's fun af. It still is! I still have stuff to discover and I think it's kinda bad that people (or parents) are worried of it

It’s in a city I’ve been in for the past 3 days, as well as brief periods in the past. So yeah it’s not like I grew up here but still.
